Follow the Rainbow to Emma's 6th Birthday!

Emma decided on a rainbow theme for her party which was so fun. We had rainbow manicures and face painting, a rainbow pinata, and painted ceramic rainbow boxes. I also read my traditional story and the kids were given rainbow scarves made by Grandma Peggy. Thankfully, it didn't rain this year.

Thanks to Nonnie and Poppy and Grandma Peggy for all of their help! It was a big success!

Happy 6th Birthday, Emma!

We surprised Emma and met her friend Alexis at a hotel for the weekend before her birthday. Amazingly, she didn't know we were going to Disneyland until the morning of, on Monday. We started the day with makeovers at Libby Lu, and Emma, of course, chose Cinderella. Then we spent a full day at the park which ended with Caden getting the stomach flu as we were leaving the parking structure. Thankfully it was no earlier!

Disneyland

Here are some more pictures from our day at Disneyland. The one of Jeff and I is a picture at the spot we got engaged 10 years ago.

My Life, As Captured in Clay!

This is the reason I haven't posted in 4 months. This is what my garage looks like from September through December. Jeff is thrilled to have his house back and I'm so glad to be done!!!!

A Visit From the Giles

Our close friends Brian and Traci Giles and their daughter Meg came for a visit from New York on Christmas night. The 2 days went by too quickly, but we made some fun memories. Emma and Caden loved Meg.

Thanks Traci for taking all the great pictures (Including our Heart Day picture).

Christmas Day

My parents came down for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day before they headed to Pismo. Caden's only wish was for a fishing pole and Emma's was for a stroller. Caden's hockey stick and tool set were a big hit too.

Teddy Bear Tea

Emma was finally old enough to attend the library's annual Teddy Bear Tea. The kids brought a favorite bear and heard bear stories, made a couple of crafts, ate goodies, and did a parade with their bears through the library.

Christgiving Thanksmas

Our tradition with Jeff's family includes renting a cabin at Big Bear and exchanging our Christmas gifts, hence the holiday "Christgiving Thanksmas." Emma received the Baby Alive she wanted so badly and Caden got his skates.
