Spring Break in Avila

We spent Emma's first day off at our favorite spot, Avila beach. We enjoyed 75 degree weather and the kids enjoyed making the shell mosaic mountain with Daddy.

A Misfit Easter

We spent our 2nd Easter with the Allens and several other families without family in the area. Emma and Caden enjoyed the egg hunt so much that we spent the next hour having egg hunts over and over again.

Badminton, Soccer, or Volleyball?

On Easter, Caden couldn't quite decide on one sport, so in a 10 minute period, he kept Jeff busy by changing from badminton to soccer to volleyball.

Always the Right Time for a Water Balloon Fight

It didn't matter that it was only 65 degrees outside. The fact that it was sunny meant it was water balloon weather. What started as blowing up balloons turned into filling them with water. The dogs were the first victims of the balloons and when that got dull, they squirted each other. Thanks Caden and Lilly for attempting to wash my car. Is it brown or navy????

A Trip to the Snow

We went to the Twain Harte area the weekend after Caden's birthday with our friends Shannon and Todd Rinkenberger. The highlight of the weekend was waking up to snow the morning after we arrived. The adults were awakened to screaming kids running around the cabin and Emma and Caden immediately went out to the snow in their jammies. We enjoyed watching the snow fall throughout the day and the kids loved making snow cones.

A Trip to the Snow part 2

Here are some pictures from our sledding day. Caden couldn't get enough of sledding down the hills; preferably by himself and on his tummy. Emma, however, preferred laying in the snow and eating it.

Caden's Fourth Birthday Campout

We did a nighttime party so we could have the evening ambience for our campfire sing along, marshmellow roast, story reading in the tent, and the movie on the front lawn. We had a great time and I think Caden will remember it for a long time. Thanks to Poppy for making the camo tent pinata and helping me with the cake. A big thanks to Caden's Sunday school teachers "Big Will" and Kathy who came and led the campfire sing along.

Favorite presents

A few of Caden's faves include a boogie board from Gabe and Noah, and excavator from Nonnie and Poppy, and gumballs from Grandma. The gumball machine is official lost in space and Caden calls Grandma daily and asks her when it will arrive. He should really be in no hurry since he has easy access to the gumballs all day long instead of the quarter he will eventually be paying. I should also add that Caden announced that, "I don't like getting clothes. They're boring."

Goody Kids!

My kids are collectors. They spend most of their time collecting and moving toys from purses to shopping carts to strollers. Bedtime is no exception. Emma sleeps with her 3 "Big Bears", 3 blankets, and a few other stuffed animals. Caden sleeps with about 8 blankets which Nonnie has made as well as a baby and stuffed animals. Here are some pictures of the goodies.

Disneyland....Again!

We had Days 2 and 3 left on our 3 day Disneyland pass, so the kids and I made a weekend trip down south. The highlights were eating cotton candy- Caden's first time. Unfortunately now he knows what that fluffy pink stuff really is. Emma and Caden also got to participate in the High School Musical show at CA Adventure, which they loved. No pics of that though. They also enjoyed riding the pirate ship for the first time.

The rest of the Disney pics

Here are the last of em!
