Caden's Room

Jeff built this cool loft bed for Caden a year ago and it was so big we had to switch rooms and put him in the guest room. So, it has taken me this long to repaint his room to match his surfer bedding. I painted the two canvases on either side of the window and the board short stripe. I'm glad to be done!

Our Newest Family Member

We finally got a new car! Yeah! Our beloved Volvo is retiring after 11 years of service (6 with us). Emma named our new car Katie the Acadia. We love being able to take 8 people with us!

Caden starts Pre-K

Caden started his second year at Little Ark this week. He goes twice a week and has Mrs. Tracy, who we love! (And yes, she was also at the 80's party!)

Long Live the 80's!

Our friend Carrie Morgan turned 40 and had an 80's themed birthday party. Jeff surprised me and came out with this happening look. Some of our friends went all out. Check out Emma's teacher in the pink!

Ivan Ulz Concert

After we dropped Emma off for her first day of school, Caden and I went to an Ivan Ulz concert at the library. He is a children's musician from New York who has a lot of fun songs. Caden got a copy of the CD at the end which he is very proud of.

First Grader!

Emma started first grade and has Mrs. Tomasini, a friend from our church. It will be a great year!

One Last Summer Hurrah!

We enjoyed our last day of summer on the Bob Jones trail in Avila Beach. Emma and Caden rode with 10 other kids on the trail to the beach which is 3 miles each direction. I was proud of Emma and Caden for finishing, although it was tough!
