After 5 1/2 years of living in our home, we finally have a landscaped backyard! When we moved in, we tore out a little deck and had a concrete patio poured and a hot tub put in. Since then, Jeff added 40 truckloads of dirt and leveled out the yard so that more than half was on the upper level and a third on the lower level. After saving our money, we were able to pay someone to come in and tear out the basketball court, put in sod, a sprinkler system, curbing, and some hardscape. We will fill in with flowers and plants and a garden area in the spring. We feel so blessed to look out on green instead of brown dirt and watch the kids run around, so thrilled to have grass. Caden was very disappointed when the landscapers were done. He loved following them around, talking to them and asking questions, and every day rushed out to eat lunch with them.
